RAISING TRAINING SEEDLING FISH CATFISH BIOFLOC TECHNOLOGY PART. 1

PART I
PRELIMINARY


A. Background
Opportunities for business development of fisheries areas of fishing since 2004 began stagnated due to over fishing. To cover the shortfall in fish production and fish consumption continues to increase, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs through the Directorate General of Aquaculture took measures to revitalize the field of aquaculture.

The vision of the Directorate General of Aquaculture Aquaculture is a mainstay source of economic growth through a system of farming that is competitive, sustainable and equitable. In order to achieve this vision, it is one of the policies that support is the development of the area cultivated in freshwater, brackish and marine-based science and technology appropriate carrying capacity of the land to keep the preservation of fish resources and the environment in order to create a system of farming that is competitive, sustainable and equitable.

In achieving this vision, there are many constraints faced obstacles both internal and eksternal. And one obstacle that became the beginning of a lack of production of farmed fish is not yet mastered the technique many fish hatcheries. With seeding technique mastered, then the seed stocks are abundant and will be able to boost the production of fish consumption is less than the maximum development due to lack of seed stocks.

Freshwater aquaculture production has development opportunities are enormous if supported by increased production benih. To there is need for intensification of hatchery operations in an integrated manner to realize the increased production. However, the increased production of these seeds must still refer to the Good Management Practice (GMP), and to be able to achieve GMP, enlargement must apply the standard way the Good Fish Farming (CBIB).

Given the vital role of the knowledge and skills of hatchery fish sesusai with CBIB, then drafted these materials to be directed at the perpetrators of catfish farming in the CBIB. So that the development targets and achieving the vision of the directorate general of aquaculture can be achieved.

B. Short Description
This module discusses the techniques of catfish with biofloc systems, portable circular pool manufacture, installation of aeration, the initial media preparation, feeding program, managemenbenih, bio security, harvesting, and business analysis.

C. Benefits Materials Participants
The benefits of this module teaching materials to participants, namely:
1. Provide knowledge to the participants the technique of making practical yag portable circular pool and efisen
2. Provide knowledge to participants how to install aeration ponds biofloc
3. Provide knowledge to the participants how the media application early cultivation
